Goldie’s Pro and Pro Plus plans make it easy to stay on top of client communication with automated appointment reminders. Messages are sent automatically, saving you time and keeping your clients informed. In this guide, you'll learn how the reminders work, how to customize them, and how to stay organized whether you send messages automatically or manually. Let’s get started.
1. How do messages work in the Pro and Pro Plus plans?
Goldie’s Pro and Pro Plus plans offer fully automated messaging, allowing you to easily send appointment-related messages and reminders.
Key features:
Messages are sent from a generic phone number. Each client is assigned a number from which they’ll receive messages.
Client replies are forwarded to the mobile number linked to your Goldie account. Note that replies also count toward your monthly message allowance, which resets every month.
Each plan includes a monthly message quota:
If you prefer, you can manually send messages from your own device.
*Note: If a client unsubscribed from automated reminders (accidentally or intentionally), they can resubscribe by texting the word UNSTOP to the same generic number.
2. How to customize message templates
When you create a Goldie account, you’ll find four default message templates:
- Instant Booking Notification (sent immediately after appointment is created)
Your appointment with [Business Name] on [Date] at [Start Time] has been booked. To pay or reschedule, visit [Appointment Link] or call [Phone Number].
- Reminder (send time is customizable before the appointment)
Your appointment with [Business Name] on [Date] at [Start Time] has been booked. To pay or reschedule, visit [Appointment Link] or call [Phone Number].
- Follow-up (sent after the appointment)

To customize a template:
Open the Goldie app and log in.
Go to Menu (☰) → Settings → Messages.
From the Edit Message screen, you can update:
Send time: When the message is sent (or reminded, for manual messages).
Template: Customize the message content. Use different Widgets to include client name, appointment time, appointment link, business name, or your phone number.
Date/time format: Choose how date and time appear in messages.
Default setting: Check the box to set this template as the default for new appointments.
3. How to add a reminder template to an appointment
Open the Goldie app and tap an available time slot to create a new appointment.
*Note: If the default template is enabled, the reminder message will be added automatically to each new appointment.
Tap Add messages.
Select the message template you want to use.
Tap Save (top right corner).
4. How to change the date/time format and message language
Open the Goldie app.
Go to Menu (☰) → Settings → Messages.

Tap Date and time format.
From here, you can adjust:
*Note: Changing the message language will not automatically translate the entire message. Only the content added using the Date, Start Time, and End Time widgets will be translated.
5. How to set up the “Daily Reminder” (for manual messaging users only)
The Daily Reminder helps users who send messages manually to stay organized.
To enable it:
Go to Settings → App notifications in the Goldie app.
Turn on Daily Reminder.
Choose your preferred reminder time (default is 8:30 a.m.).
